MEET THE TEAM:
Mark Ziety, CFP® joined Shakespeare in 2009 and brought with him a diverse background and unique expertise to advise on family finances. He started his career as a microbiologist working with bacterial pathogens and testing pharmaceuticals for potency and safety. As company down-sizing closed one door, he opened another door to his passion of investments and personal finances. His scientific training was a natural fit when analyzing the complexity of a family's finances. He operated his own investment and insurance practice in Madison until he and his wife Becca had their first child and moved back to the Oconomowoc area. Prior to joining Shakespeare, he worked for another Financial Advisory firm and gained valuable experience writing financial plans for high net worth families. His areas of expertise include tax, estate, insurance, and retirement planning and his comments have been featured in Yahoo! News, U.S. News and World Report, and Research Magazine.
Mark is an active member of the Financial Planners Association (FPA) and the National Association of Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and completes over 30 hours of continuing education each year to stay current with the ever changing tax laws and financial markets. He also volunteers his time to assist Military Veterans who have returned from service, helping them put together their finances and rebuild their lives.
Mark and his wife Becca live near Oconomowoc with their daughter Emma. During the winter, they downhill ski and skate on the neighborhood pond. During the summer, they spend much of their free time on the local lakes water skiing. Mark is a competitive water-skier -- and has even traveled to China to compete against the Chinese national team.
Andrea Bulen, CFP® brings 10 years of experience working as a financial planner to the Shakespeare Team. She helps clients identify, prioritize, and work toward their financial goals.
Kevin Reardon, president of Shakespeare, states, “Andrea brings a wealth of experience to us as a seasoned financial planner. She has been an immediate asset to the firm, and furthers our mission in providing the highest level of advice to our clients.”
Ms. Bulen earned her BS and Master’s degrees from the University of Minnesota. She began her professional career working as a project manager in a public policy research firm that studied socio/economic trends in metropolitan areas.
Finding interest in studying social and financial trends at the micro level rather than macro level,
Andrea transitioned her career into personal financial planning. After several years of helping individuals with their investment and financial plans, Andrea earned her CFP® designation in 2009.
Andrea grew up in Pewaukee not far from the Shakespeare office, and currently lives in Merton with her husband and three children. She spends most of her free time with her children, teaching Sunday school, running, biking and participating in triathlon events.
Andrea looks forward to helping Shakespeare clients and their families with their financial planning for years to come.
Colleen Schoenike joined Shakespeare in 2004 as our chief administrator, and helps facilitate critical components of our client experience. Colleen produces our Quarterly Performance Reports, ensures all client paperwork is handled properly, facilitates asset transfers, and helps to maintain accurate client information within our systems so we can best serve clients. She also manages the accounting system for Shakespeare, and helps maintain Shakespeare’s website and social media content. Colleen’s bright smile is something clients look forward to when they walk in the door at Shakespeare.
Colleen graduated from UW-Madison with a degree in Exercise Physiology. She is married to Jon and they have four children. When Colleen isn’t working, you can find her at local community and sporting events around Pewaukee and generally chasing after her kids.
