Brenda Knox, CFP® AIF® is President of Financial Elements, Inc. She has been a financial advisor for over 20 years, working at another Fee-Only financial advisory firm prior to founding Financial Elements, Inc. She has a wide variety of experience working extensively with clients in the creation of hundreds of financial plans. She enjoys developing long term relationships with her clients and tailoring her services to her clients’ individual needs. She works with clients on investments, retirement planning, cash flow and savings, insurance, estate, and college planning.
Brenda completed all five modules of the CFP® certification education program on an accelerated basis. She sat for and passed the comprehensive CFP® examination in 1997, and received her CFP® certification in 1999. Brenda graduated from Roosevelt University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an Accounting major, and has an Associate in Arts degree from William Rainey Harper College. She was also a member of the Franklin Honor Society at Roosevelt University. Prior to her work in financial planning, Ms. Knox worked for Ameritech Corporation in Hoffman Estates. Her positions there included leading a team of revenue analysts and working in general ledger accounting.

In May of 2013, Brenda earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. The AIF® designation certifies she has specialized knowledge of fiduciary standards of care and their application to the investment management process.
Brenda lives in Rolling Meadows with her husband and two boys. She is actively involved in her community; serving as Activity Chair for Boy Scouts, and as council president at her church. Financial Elements also supports Team Salute, Fremd High School, and other local organizations.
