What is "Fee Only Financial Planning," and why is it important?

Dan brings more than 25 years of financial experience to his role at MWA Advisors.

After graduating magna cum laude from Temple University with a bachelor's degree in accounting, Dan held financial positions at top organizations, including KPMG Peat Marwick; Anderson, Clayton & Co.; and finally IBM where he was a financial analyst and financial planning manager for more than a decade before joining with Christine Walker to open the doors to MWA Advisors, Inc.

Dan developed the Rice University CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Certification Education Program. He was the Rice Program Director for several years and also taught the investments course in the program during that same period. Previously, he taught courses in investments and retirement / employee benefits to other financial planners in the CFP® Certification Programs at the University of Houston and the University of St. Thomas/PDI.

Dan currently conducts financial planning education classes for various corporations and the public. He continues to offer his popular Money, Retirement and Emotional Well Being course, which he developed through Rice University’s School of Continuing Studies, at the Clear Lake Freeman Library through a partnership with the NAPFA Consumer Education Foundation (NCEF).
