As founder and managing director of Avier Wealth Advisors, Dave Welty finds himself in a fortunate position. He’s been able to combine his entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for creating a world-class client experience into a rewarding career and business. Every day he gets to go into the office knowing that he has assembled a dedicated team of professionals whose work has a positive and direct impact on people’s lives. He likens his job to that of an air traffic controller, strategically coordinating best practices and allocating resources to bring those under the firm’s guidance to their desired futures without a lot of turbulence along the way.

Dave lives on the shores of Lake Sammamish with his wife Katherine and their two boys, Cameron and Graham. Enjoying quiet time on the lake, camping up in the mountains or traveling the world in pursuit of big fish—Dave never tires of spending time with his family and friends in nature’s living room. While he is more likely to brag about his sons’ many talents, Dave will gladly oblige with a story about his fiftieth birthday. The one that ends with an 80-lb. blue marlin on the end of a fly rod. Not a bad way for a guy to mark half a century.
