Ernie George entered the financial services business in 1974 in Starkville after graduating from Mississippi State University. He has served as a board member of the Society of Financial Services Practitioners (formerly the American Society of CLU® and CHFC®), Financial Planning Association (formerly the International Association for Financial Planning), Northeast MS Planned Giving Council, and the MS Estate Planning Council.
Ernie George has written numerous articles in industry publications while serving on the editorial board of Financial Services Advisor magazine. He was selected by Goldine Research as one of the leading Wealth Managers of the Southeast United States (published in Forbes Magazine). Ernie is also listed in Who's Who in Finance and Industry and Who's Who in America.
Ernie is involved in local community activities, having served on the boards of Rotary, Starkville Academy, Public Library, the Boy Scouts, and the Chamber of Commerce. At First Presbyterian Church, he served as a Deacon, Elder, and Sunday School teacher.
