What is "Fee Only Financial Planning," and why is it important?

The founder and principal of Wrightbridge is Nora P. Gillespie, CFP, CFS and a NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor.  She is also a licensed Life and Health Insurance Consultant in Virginia.

Prior to establishing the firm, she was employed at a Mid-west financial institution where she served as Executive Vice-President and Manager of Retail Banking in which capacity she managed 50 bank branches in Missouri, Kansas and Texas and created, implemented and marketed a full line of consumer deposit and loan products.  She also introduced and was responsible for consumer investment and insurance products, such as mutual funds and annuities and was a member of the Investment Oversight Committee, which reviewed and approved investment products offered to the bank's customers.

From 1973-1988, Ms. Gillespie was employed at a major Houston bank serving in various retail banking management positions, including Executive Vice President of Retail Banking for which she was responsible for the depository and loan relationships of executives, professionals, high net worth individuals and small businesses.

Ms. Gillespie has been active in several community service organizations in the Charlottesville area and is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA).  She also served as the Director of a not-for-profit business consulting agency from 2003-2014.
