Rand Spero is President of Street Smart Financial, LLC.

Rand has a background in corporate strategic planning, economics, marketing, and psychology, which provides a multi-disciplinary approach to financial matters. He successfully completed the Financial Planning program from Boston University and is a board designated CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional. He is frequently quoted in major publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, and Smart Money.

He has worked as an independent strategic planning consultant for major firms such as AT&T, Time Warner, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cellular One, Comcast, John Hancock, Novartis, and Viacom, helping them anticipate and respond to future economic trends.

Rand conducts financial planning workshops for organizations such as the Tufts University Osher Lifelong Learning Institute and Massachusetts General Hospital. He has taught numerous courses in Service Marketing and Competitive Strategic Marketing at Northeastern University Graduate School of Management.

Rand is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and the Financial Planning Association (FPA). He provides pro-bono financial coaching services to cancer patients and their families through the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. He is a board member of the Lexington Cary Memorial Library Foundation and is a trustee of the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.
