Sue Stevens is CEO and founder of Stevens Wealth Management. She leads a team of professionals that are focused on serving clients through financial planning and investment management. Sue holds an MBA from University of Chicago and was Director of Financial Planning at Morningstar for nine years.
Sue’s passion is helping clients envision where they want to go next in life and then building financial strategies to achieve those goals. Specialties include transition planning (Life 2.0), philanthropy, retirement drawdown strategies, investment management and elder care planning.
Sue has been in the wealth management business for over twenty-five years. Her depth of experience includes working with high net worth individuals at Arthur Andersen, leading a team at The Vanguard Group that designed financial planning materials for retirement plan participants, and founding Morningstar’s personal finance newsletter. Before becoming a financial advisor, Sue was a professional cellist playing as an extra with the Chicago Symphony as well as top entertainers in the recording industry.
Sue has written two award-winning books and is working on a third due out later in 2016. Her books take a holistic view of money management that involve self-reflection on what’s important and how to align personal values with investing. Sue is frequently quoted by major media including The Wall Street Journal, New York Times and Chicago Tribune.
