NAPFA is the country's leading association of Fee Only Financial Planners.
What is "Fee Only Financial Planning," and why is it important?
My name is Todd Porterfield and I am a Certified Financial Planner with Clarity Wealth Development.
Good financial advice helps you find and define your goals, dreams. It helps you transform your resources into your personal vision. Good financial advice is personal; it takes into consideration your unique situation, and good financial advice is tailored to you. Financial advice requires a deeper look than a mere peek at a balance sheet, account statements, and tax returns. A good Financial Advisor listens to you and responds to your personal needs and provides “outside of the box” thinking.
I’m a Financial Advisor because I love working with people like you, creatively constructing a plan that fits your needs. My mission is to work with you and your family. To understand and help you realize your financial goals, dreams, hopes and priorities and additionally to help you avoid any missteps and pitfalls along the way. I believe that financial planning is dynamic and, used properly, will help to navigate those funny curve balls that life throws at us.
I specialize in working with clients in their mid-30s to mid-50s who are still on the road to financial independence. My current clients in this particular demographic benefit from our unique blend of financial planning and coaching expertise for over 15 years. I have also worked extensively with educators across the country and, of course in my home state of Oregon. These relationships give me a deep understanding of the Oregon PERS system and how to find the best strategy for your situation.
I graduated from Oregon State University and I have worked for over 15 years as a Financial Advisor. I am highly trained in the area of financial planning and investment management. I am a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA).
Todd is actively involved in his community as an active fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society supporting blood cancer research. He also supports the Feral Cat Coalition and the Oregon Humane Society through community projects and fund raising. In addition to this, Todd enjoys his time in the great Oregon outdoors.
