William M. Howell is both a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner™. He has more than 20 years of fee-only experience working with investment portfolios totaling over $140 million for individuals, pension plans and non-profit groups.  Bill also has extensive experience working with individuals in all areas of personal financial planning.  In addition, he has served in several executive management positions with Indiana based firms throughout his career.

 

Bill is the author of numerous articles and has been quoted on financial management issues in Money Magazine, Medical Economics, Indianapolis Magazine, SmartMoney and several newsletters.  He has also conducted seminars and served as a panelist on a television show, “Ask the Experts”, and serves as a financial planning expert to the Indianapolis WISH TV news program.

 

He is a member of the Leadership Cabinet of the Indiana CPA Society as well as a former co-chairman of the society’s Personal Financial Planning Committee.  Bill is a charter member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and served as the Midwest Region Coordinator.  He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a member of the Professional Advisor Leadership Council of the Central Indiana Community Foundation.

 

Bill is an active member of his church and established an endowment plan which has helped dozens of charitable organizations in the metro area.  He is also an avid landscape photographer.
