I've been fortunate enough to be blessed with the opportunity to do something I'm passionate about and love. My reasoning for becoming a financial planner is due to my own experiences. At 19, I opened a ROTH IRA with $500, and I never heard from that advisor again for over two years. I knew $500 wasn't worth much to that advisor, regarding how he's compensated, but that was a lot of money to me. That $500 was the beginning of my retirement savings. It meant something, and frankly still does. I never want anyone who works with our firm to experience that. My focus has been to provide exceptional service and use common sense in how to approach financial planning and wealth management. I've always admired Mark Twain's quote, "Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect."
You may be asking why the focus on veterinarians and dentists?
A personal friend of mine went through dental school, and those conversations told me there is a need. We often spoke about the challenges that he and his peers faced. While most of the clinical training prepares a person to be a great practitioner, there is a large void in areas of financial and business knowledge and understanding. I've continued to see the financial advice being given to veterinarians and dentists of all ages to be biased, lacking value, and focused on commissionable products.
I wanted to be part of the solution to these issues I'm tired of seeing financial salespeople take advantage of dentists and veterinarians. I continue to partner with a team of professionals whose expertise and passion these practitioners is the same. They provide services that complement financial planning and investment management. These partners include CPAs, attorneys, bankers, healthcare real estate, builders, consultants, and many others. This approach aims to improve the desired result, which is growing net worth and focuses on what matters most.

The story of ID Financial Planning & Wealth Management is simple. I felt there was a better way to work with dentists and veterinarians to provide financial advice and guidance. I’ve always believed that good financial information should be accessible to more than just those who are already financially successful. Today’s world has continued to grow more complicated, and everyone’s focus is stretched thin. A financial advisor’s job is to provide advice and guidance to help make decisions. Client’s themselves would make if they had the expertise. By working and focusing on dental and veterinarian practitioners, the advice we can offer and contribute is additive both to the personal life, but also to the business. Understanding the profession from an operational perspective is a dramatically different planning experience. Finally, I am a big believer in looking at both assets and liabilities.
