John Hochschwender is an Executive Vice President/CFO with RTD Financial Advisors, Inc. A Certified Financial PlannerTM practitioner, he received an MBA from Villanova University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
Starting with The Vanguard Group in 1985, Mr. Hochschwender has worked continuously in the financial services industry. He has been doing comprehensive financial planning since 1993, including investments, retirement planning, college funding, employee benefits, estate, and insurance analysis.
Mr. Hochschwender has been quoted recently in CNBC.com, The American Retirement Initiative and the Price company. He has received the 5 star professional award for wealth management from 2010 to 2014.
Mr. Hochschwender specializes in working with retirees to help them achieve peace of mind about risk, retirement income, and estate planning. He also specializes in working with corporate executives and professionals who want to make the most of their benefit plans and other assets to reach financial independence.

Mr. Hochschwender served as the president of the Philadelphia Tri-State Financial Planning Association (FPA) in 2010, after serving as the Treasurer for a number of years. The Philadelphia FPA has over 500 members, a 20-member board and runs numerous local education, pro bono, and public awareness events.
In addition, he is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). NAPFA is a leading professional association of 2400 Fee-Only financial advisors—highly trained professionals who are committed to working in the best interests of those they serve.
John enjoys golf, skiing, hiking and other outdoor sports, balanced with reading and music.
