Feature Spotlight: Prospects Have Q’s. Give them the A’s Right Up Front

Unlike other advisor profiles that rely on check boxes and bullet points, the new FAQ format on FeeOnlyNetwork advisor profiles allows you to provide thoughtful answers to the questions prospects care about most, and link to more detailed information on your website. It’s a simple way to better communicate who you serve, how your fees work, and what you do (and do NOT do), all in your own voice.

Choose 4 or 6 questions from a list of 10 and give a short and direct answers.

Available Questions:

What kinds of clients benefit most from your services and approach?

How are your fees structured, and what can I expect to pay?

What minimum asset level, if any, is required to become a client?

Is financial planning available on an hourly or project basis?

How do you work with clients—in person, remotely, or both?

Do you offer an initial consultation to determine whether we’re a good fit?

Do you provide ongoing investment management?

How often should I expect to meet with my advisor?

Will I work with a dedicated advisor or do you have a team-based approach?

What key differentiators set your firm apart from other advisory firms?

Is there a character limit to the answers?

Yes, answers are limited to 400 characters, approximately three or four sentences. Consider answering the question in a single concise sentence.  For in depth answers , you can link to a supporting page on your website.

Can I customize my own questions?

The 10 questions available have been carefully selected to address the most common and crucial questions that prospects typically ask. These questions cannot be customized. If you have other common questions from your prospects, you might consider using our Q&A interview feature or ensuring that these questions are clearly answered on your website.  

Our firm has multiple profiles. Do we have to update them individually?

There are 2 options to ensure that the FAQ section is consistent across all of your advisor profiles:

  1. Complete the FAQ section on one advisor profile and let us know to copy them across the others
  2. Provide your answers in an email to [email protected]. A FON editor will ensure that they are added across all of your advisor profiles.
Can I link to supporting pages of our website?

Absolutely. If your answer exceeds the character limit, consider providing a brief response and linking to a relevant page on your website for further details.
