As a fee-only financial planner, my focus is to offer unbiased financial advice to help you achieve your life goals. - Bragg Comer, CFP®, MBA
Fee-Only financial planner located in Plano, TX, serving clients locally and across the country

My name is Bragg Comer and I am a fee-only financial planner and the CEO of Bragg Comer Financial Advisors, LLC. My focus is on financial planning and investment management, concentrating on retirement preparation.
Through years of personal and professional experiences, I have developed a specialty in retirement planning. Whether you are planning for future retirement, preparing to enter retirement soon or are currently retired, I am prepared to help you make the most of your retirement years.
I graduated in from the University of Texas with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting and received a Master’s of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University. I undertook the extensive education and examination process to obtain the designations of Certified Financial Planner™ Professional (CFP ®).
I have an extensive background in business, accounting, listening and consulting. My corporate career began in accounting in a manufacturing firm, rising to hold positions as corporate controller, division controller and merchandising manager. I left the corporate world for several years pursuing several entrepreneurial ventures. Finding the desire to return to my strength and passion in finance, I then obtained the licenses, certifications and designations to spend the past 18 years as an investment broker, advisor and financial planner. In 2008 I made the decision to work on a fee-only basis and became an independent financial advisor.
I am a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), and am a Life Member of the Association of Individual Investors. I undertake the rigorous continuing education requirements to maintain my association with these groups and designations, emphasizing ethical practices and fiduciary standards.
As a community service in the past, I have been a member of the group of financial experts from the Dallas Chapter of the Financial Planning Association who answers reader questions on the Expert Financial Advice blog on the Dallas Morning News’ website.
I have two grown children. My daughter, Margaret Laurie lives with her husband, Holland, and five boys in Georgia, and my son, Braxton, and his wife, Wimberly, and two girls live in Alabama.
I enjoy yoga and regular walking since my knees no longer allow me to run. I enjoy reading non-fiction works in the areas of psychology, economics and history and am interested in the flow of history and how the geo-political economy affects markets. My interest in psychology and photography has helped me to develop the ability to look at problems and situations in a larger context and frame solutions over and above the obvious. I also have an affinity for Impressionistic art, especially that of Monet and Renoir, because beyond the initial appearance lies a greater message. Overall, I enjoy the challenge of pulling together just the right details to create a complete picture – whether that has to do with the financial markets, lifestyle questions or planning life-long goals.
Bragg Comer is a Member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors

The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) is a leading professional association of Fee-Only financial advisors - highly trained professionals who are committed to working in the best interests of those they serve.
NAPFA members live by three important values:
- To be the beacon for independent, objective financial advice for individuals and families.
- To be the champion of financial services delivered in the public interest.
- To be the standard bearer for the emerging profession of financial planning.
I believe financial planning is about sharing your life, hopes, dreams and concerns with someone who will listen carefully and partner with you to make decisions and plan strategically for the future. I am passionate about understanding the desires of our clients and developing long-lasting relationships with them. I know every day of your life you’ve worked hard for your money. You want a trusted, knowledgeable partner to walk with you along the path; someone who will work equally as hard to help you make the decisions that impact your future.
As a fiduciary advisor, I have a legal obligation and a professional oath to put your interests first, and I will strive to go above and beyond that obligation. Because I feel it’s so important to provide what is strictly in your best interest, and for the sole purpose of building your wealth, I work on a fee-only basis. I receive compensation only from the clients I work with and for. Therefore, I am able to provide options that are more than what is just suitable, but what is best to meet your needs, first and foremost. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all solution to fitting together the pieces of a financial plan for individuals, couples and families. I feel each situation is unique and the planning and preparation for financial security must be treated that way.
Life is all about choices and decisions. Bragg Comer Financial Advisors, LLC was established to share knowledge and offer options to people just like you, so you can have confidence in the choices and decisions you make. If you would like to learn more about me, and the services I provide, please feel free to contact me at (469) 402-2200. Initial consultations are always free and without obligation.
