Charles Ryan is an Annapolis, MD fee-only financial planner. Atlantic Financial Planning provides comprehensive and objective financial planning and investment planning to help clients organize, grow and protect their assets through life’s transitions. As a fee-only, fiduciary, and independent financial advisor, Charles Ryan is never paid a commission of any kind, and has a legal obligation to provide unbiased and trustworthy financial advice.

Prior to starting his own practice, Charlie Ryan worked for several fee-only financial planning firms.  He has also worked as a financial planning software developer which helped him gain a deep technical understanding of how a financial plan should be optimally integrated.

Additionally, he is a financial researcher whose work has been published in the Journal of Financial Planning and featured in The Wall Street Journal.  He earned a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, Finance from Northeastern University.  He is a retired Navy commander.

Fee-Only Compensation and a Fiduciary Role

Atlantic Financial Planning does not receive commissions, sell financial products, or charge fees based upon a percentage of clients' assets or net worth.  Fees are determined on an hourly basis.   All fees are fully disclosed before an engagement begins.
