Growing Fortunes Financial Partners LLC
As a fee-only financial planner, my focus is to offer unbiased financial advice to help you prepare for and transition into retirement with confidence. - Cheryl Krueger, CFP®, RICP®
Please note, we are not taking new clients at this time. Independent Fee-Only Financial Planner With Offices in Schaumburg, IL and Phoenix, AZ
Cheryl Krueger is a Chicago, IL fee-only financial planner. Growing Fortunes Financial Partners LLC provides comprehensive financial planning and investment advice to help clients organize, grow and protect their assets through life’s transitions. As a fee-only, fiduciary, and independent financial advisor, Cheryl Krueger is never paid a commission of any kind, and has a legal obligation to provide unbiased and trustworthy financial advice.
Cheryl Krueger spent over 20 years working as an actuary in the life insurance industry. During this time, she designed and priced insurance and annuity products, monitored insurers’ financial conditions, worked in merger and acquisition appraisal situations, implemented asset/liability management processes and reporting and improved companies’ performance through developing, implementing and monitoring strategic plans. She found that she did her best work developing solutions for complex problems and then explaining those solutions in everyday language.
In 2007, Cheryl founded Growing Fortunes Financial Partners LLC to provide fiduciary, fee-only financial planning with no minimum portfolio sizes and no product sales.
Since then, she has provided advice to many clients from all walks of life. Over time, she developed a passion for helping pre-retirees make the transition to retirement, whether they were ready to retire now or wanted to make sure they were preparing adequately for retirement a few years down the road. She also found that as her clients entered their retirement journey, they wanted additional assurance that there would be someone familiar with their finances on an ongoing basis if they were unable to manage them themselves.
Cheryl obtained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2010. In 2017, she completed the Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) designation. Cheryl is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA).

The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) is a leading professional association of Fee-Only financial advisors - highly trained professionals who are committed to working in the best interests of those they serve.
NAPFA members live by three important values:
- To be the beacon for independent, objective financial advice for individuals and families.
- To be the champion of financial services delivered in the public interest.
- To be the standard bearer for the emerging profession of financial planning.
We are your partners in meeting your life goals. We see your potential to succeed in growing the fortunes that are most important to you. It’s not just about money – it’s about living the life you want to live.
We provide financial planning on a fixed annual fee basis. We do not have minimum income or net worth levels for our clients.
We do not sell investment or insurance products, and therefore can assure independent advice on financial topics. We do not manage your investments; rather we give you advice on how to build a tax-efficient, low cost index fund portfolio, including specific advice for each of your accounts.
We can meet with your attorney, accountant or other professional advisor to make sure that they understand their essential role in implementing your plan.
Once you have started to implement your plan, we are here to answer questions, to update it as needed, and to provide the encouragement you need to be successful.
The process looks like this:
- We offer a free initial “Get Acquainted” meeting in person or by phone. We ask you to bring a summary of your current financial position to this meeting.
- We will estimate the expected fee and tell you what information we'll need to get started on your plan. After the meeting, we'll send you a contract to review and sign.
- Once you sign your agreement, we'll get you signed up to our secure Client Website, where you can share your information securely, and send you an invoice to pay your deposit.
- At the end of the project, we will give you a written report of your plan and the steps you need to take to move forward.
- Annual plan renewals keep your plans on track. We want to keep your plan working for you.
