Diane Pearson is a Wexford, PA fee-only financial planner with over 30+ years of experience, serving the Pittsburgh region and clients across the country virtually. Pearson Financial Planning provides financial planning and investment management to help women who are widowed, divorced and retirement-focused organize, grow and protect their assets through life’s transitions. As a fee-only, fiduciary, and independent financial advisor, Diane Pearson is never paid a commission of any kind, and has a legal obligation to provide unbiased and trustworthy financial advice.
Diane M. Pearson, CFP®, CeFT®, CDFA®, has over 33 years of experience in the financial advisory profession. She has specialized expertise working with widowed, divorced, and retirement-focused individuals.
The Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) certification is the standard of excellence in financial planning. As a CFP® professional, Diane must meet rigorous education, training, and ethical standards. She is committed to serving her clients' best interests and acts as a fiduciary. Diane collaborates with her clients to create long-term plans to help them meet their financial goals.
Diane obtained her Certified Financial Transitionist (CeFT®) designation to assist clients navigating through major life events and the financial transitions that accompany them. Transition refers to how an individual experiences events like separation/divorce, retirement, loss of a spouse, loss of parents, sale of a business, job loss, relocation, inheritance, lottery, etc. The CeFT® is the industry’s first designation specifically geared toward financial change and transition.
Ms. Pearson has been awarded the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®) professional designation. As a CDFA®, she is qualified to serve as a financial expert on divorce cases, present data to support an argument, and educate clients on the short- and long-term financial implications of different divorce settlement proposals. Diane can assist divorcées by identifying and valuing the marital assets and liabilities as well as exploring creative solutions and options for distribution of the marital assets.
Diane graduated from Robert Morris University with an associate degree in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in Management. She is married to Alex, has two sons, Alex (wife Barb) and David, and two Jack Russell Terriers, Sydney, and Fleury.
Diane is a member of the Financial Planning Association, National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, Garret Planning Network, and Financial Transitions Institute.
Ms. Pearson is a professional mentor with Robert Morris University Women’s Leadership and Mentorship Program (WLMP). She was a professional mentor for Strong Women, Strong Girls. Formerly, she played defense for a women's ice hockey league.
