Buckingham Strategic Wealth is a fee-only, fiduciary wealth management firm providing comprehensive financial planning, investment management and holistic wealth planning to help clients build and protect their wealth through life’s transitions. Our highest aspiration is to help our clients fulfill their financial dreams. Our advisors are never paid a commission of any kind and have a legal obligation to provide unbiased and trustworthy financial advice.

Emily Allen is a planner at heart. That, coupled with an early interest in the science of evidence-based investing and a desire to assist others in navigating the complex world of personal financial planning, motivated her to enter the world of finance.

She finds the genuine connection that comes with helping clients create and execute a comprehensive plan to achieve their most important financial goals the most satisfying part of her day. As a wealth advisor in Buckingham Strategic Wealth’s Houston office, Emily guides clients through the financial planning process, including portfolio implementation, portfolio rebalancing, retirement cash flow plan analyses, risk management, tax planning and wealth transfer strategies.

For her, building a strong, enduring relationship with clients begins long before the start of any meeting. It originates with a deep understanding of the client’s most important values and goals, but it’s nurtured through translating that knowledge into thorough and effective solutions for any situation.

Emily joined Buckingham through the firm’s 2015 merger with Posey Capital of Houston, where she had been a Client Relationship Manager since 2011. Prior to assuming her role at Posey Capital, Emily served as a client service representative first for Oppenheimer & Co. and then for Brennan Financial Services. Before she worked at these firms, Emily was the office manager at two commercial and industrial auction companies in the Dallas area, Rosen Systems Inc. and Travis Mitchell Auctions.

Emily earned her bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2007. She also received an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from Northwestern University’s School of Continuing Studies in 2013. Emily also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation.

A native of Dallas, Emily previously has volunteered with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, and she continues youth mentorship work in her community.

Emily lives in Sugar Land, Texas, with her husband, Kenneth, and their daughters, Magnolia Jane and Coraline Reese. Outside of work, she enjoys being active, planning and hosting gatherings, and spending time with her family.
