Keatley Wealth Management, LLC
Fee-Only financial planner located in Charlotte, NC, serving clients locally and across the country
Prior to joining Keatley Wealth Management (KWM) in 2012, Jenny Martella enjoyed a 15-year career working as a commercial loan officer and private banker to high net worth clients. Jenny’s primary role at Keatley Wealth Management is financial planning and client service. She assumed the position as Director of Financial Planning in 2014.
Jenny has always had a strong personal interest in financial planning. She decided to pursue it as a career when she noticed many friends and family members receiving poor or inadequate advice from financial professionals in the wake of the 2008-2009 financial crisis. This decision led her to successfully complete the Financial Planner graduate course of study at Queens University and earn the CFP® (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™) marks of distinction.
After researching many financial planning practices in Charlotte, Jenny joined KWM because of her strong belief in the value of independent fee-only advice and the firm’s mission to serve clients in a fiduciary capacity. She was also drawn to KWM’s commitment to provide each client with comprehensive planning and evidenced-based, cost-effective investment solutions.
Jenny has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger Personal Finance, and Financial Advisor IQ. She has also served as a panelist on a nationally broadcast live for Fidelity Charitable to discuss the topic of tax efficient giving strategies and donor advised funds.
Jenny lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband and two children. An avid swimmer/cyclist/runner, Jenny likes to compete in local triathlons and swims on a U.S. Masters swim team. She is passionate about financial literacy, and volunteers with Junior Achievement to teach these skills to local high school students. Jenny also volunteers regularly at her church, and is currently serving as a Deacon and is on the Endowment and Finance Leadership Boards.

The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) is a leading professional association of Fee-Only financial advisors - highly trained professionals who are committed to working in the best interests of those they serve.
NAPFA members live by three important values:
- To be the beacon for independent, objective financial advice for individuals and families.
- To be the champion of financial services delivered in the public interest.
- To be the standard bearer for the emerging profession of financial planning
As an individual investor, you face tremendous challenges. You are constantly bombarded with confusing, often misleading media messages about investments and financial planning. The recent bear market may have left you confused and anxious about how your money should be invested. “Experts” make contradictory predictions about the future of the markets. Financial institutions continuously develop new financial products and spend enormous sums of money to promote them. The title “Financial Advisor” is used by product salespeople who provide very little in the way of actual advice. The quality of the information in financial magazines and television shows is mixed, at best. It has become increasingly difficult to filter out the noise.
We can help.
Keatley Wealth Management, LLC, located in Charlotte, NC, was formed by Karen Keatley MBA, CFA, CFP® to provide superior long-term investment strategies and financial advice to individuals and families.
A Fee-Only firm, Keatley Wealth Management does not sell financial products. We do not receive commissions or third party payments of any kind because they lead to conflicts of interest between advisors and clients. Our fees are completely transparent and there are no hidden agendas.
Our investment approach is not based on speculation. The most successful long-term investment strategy has always been a well-diversified, buy-hold-and-rebalance approach. Market volatility and steep declines have been the bane of unprepared investors. An informed historical perspective helps you avoid the costly mistakes of being too optimistic when stocks are soaring and too pessimistic after a market decline.
We integrate expert financial planning with experienced investment management and take a collaborative approach with our clients to develop investment portfolios appropriate for their unique situations. With a well-conceived plan and a sound investment strategy, you can be prepared to profit from long-term growth opportunities and also to weather short term storms. By taking the appropriate amount of risk for your long term goals and having adequate liquid resources in safe investments, you will be better able to cope with volatility and bear markets.
