JJ Sessions is a fee only financial advisor at The Planning Center located in Maple Grove, MN.
I have been preparing for my career as a financial planner all my life. As a high school senior, I once gave a speech on the benefits of compound interest. Though I started college with a desire to be a marriage and family therapist, I found that I could do more for people by helping them with their financial lives. Things like effective cash flow planning and life planning can have a profound impact on reducing the stress and conflicts in marriages that surround money. My primary responsibility as a financial advisor is to help individuals and families to achieve clarity on their financial and life goals, and work closely with them to accomplish those goals.
As a husband and father of six kids, many of my interests revolve around family time. With a lot of extended family in the Western US, my kids are raised as road warriors- the older ones having averaged more than one 2800 mile round trip excursion for every year of their lives. As an Eagle Scout, in my time off I enjoy catch-and- release fly fishing and emergency preparedness.
