John Chapman is a Newport Beach, CA fee-only financial planner. As a fee-only, fiduciary, and independent financial advisor, John Chapman is never paid a commission of any kind, and has a legal obligation to provide unbiased and trustworthy financial advice.

Innately fascinated by the financial markets and global economies, John has a healthy obsession for tracking market trends and formulating projections to better inform his clients about the future ahead. His emphasis on building lasting relationships with his clients is a big part of what brought John to WorthPointe. Drawn to WorthPointe’s family-style culture, he recognized WorthPointe isn’t a traditional Wall Street financial firm. Rather than talking down to clients, John is eager to work alongside them and be a part of their stories.

Graduating in 2011 from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s in communications, John discovered his passion for wealth management during his internship at Merrill Lynch. From there, he was set on a path to become an investment advisor with Fidelity Investments, earning his role as Vice President Financial Consultant within six years. John and his wife, Brittany, raise their two girls and son in Orange County and together are involved in their community through the Grace Fellowship Church in Costa Mesa. They feel blessed to have extended family close to them in Newport Beach. John and his family take advantage of the California lifestyle every chance they get by being at the beach, surfing, or sailing.

For several years, we’ve used this team approach in support of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego and Austin, the Center for Child Protection in Austin, Susan G. Komen, and the Old Bills Foundation in Jackson. We are also proud to have been brought in by a client to support two organizations where she’s an active member: the Mission Bay Women’s Club and Honor Flight Network. It’s that kind of dedication that inspires our own community involvement.
