Fee-Only Financial Planner Located in Dallas, TX and Serving Clients Across the Country
Katie Brewer is a Rockwall, TX fee-only financial planner. Your Richest Life provides comprehensive and objective financial planning and retirement plans for small businesses to help professionals, business owners, and physicians organize, grow and protect their assets through life’s transitions. As a fee-only, fiduciary, and independent financial advisor, Katie Brewer is never paid a commission of any kind, and has a legal obligation to provide unbiased and trustworthy financial advice.
Hi. I’m Katie Brewer, CFP® and I started Your Richest Life because I believe that working professionals should have access to a financial coach. The financial world looks nothing like it did for our parents, so members of Generations X and Y are creating their own financial path. I can work with you to relieve stress about money by helping you clarify your goals, identify and eliminate obstacles to those goals, and create an action plan to achieve them. I provide comprehensive financial coaching through fee-only services. Since I don’t sell any products, I am free of the conflicts of interest that can arise from those arrangements. I have only one person to answer to for the work I do – you!
Together, we will develop a plan to put you in charge of your financial future. You don’t have to feel afraid about your money when you are in control of it!
I’ve been fortunate to accumulate over 10 years of experience working with clients and their finances through some of the most forward-thinking organizations in finance. The Your Richest Life philosophy has been shaped through experiences with technology pioneer LearnVest as well as smaller boutique firms that focused on high net worth individuals. This philosophy includes comprehensive financial coaching and fee-only services.
I was just crazy enough to pursue my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) Certification and my MBA while working full time because I was so focused on achieving my goals, so I understand the passion you have behind achieving yours. And I have the skill to help you balance your current goals with your long term needs. With my expertise, I can help you with retirement planning, debt payoff, figuring out where that pesky hole in your budget is, purchasing your first or second home, evaluating your employee benefits, and plenty more.
Along the way I’ve built some credentials that give me the expertise I need to do a great job for my clients:
- Completed educational, exam, experience and ethics requirements to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™
- Received my MBA from Texas Tech University (while working full time!)
- Completed Personal Financial Planning coursework at Southern Methodist University
- Received my Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University
- Quoted in The New York Times, Forbes, and Yahoo Finance
In addition, it’s important to me to do something to help the next generation, so I volunteer with Junior Achievement to teach financial literacy.
On a personal note, I live in the Dallas area, but I’m originally from Austin and get back there whenever I can. I met my husband at the Mexican food joint where we both worked while in college and it was love over guacamole. We have a four-year old daughter who’s a play-doh artist.
When I’m not coaching my financial clients or spending time with my little family, I like to sing soprano in a philanthropic choir, scoot around town on my Genuine Buddy scooter, and get outdoors for a hike or a concert whenever I can.

Comprehensive Financial Planning
This is the part where we get into all the details of your financial life. Typical stuff like your employee benefits, educational goals for your children, and estate planning. We also talk about the fun stuff, like your desire to collect vintage Vespas, buy a beach house, or climb all the fourteeners in Colorado, and how I can help you accomplish these goals. Financially, that is. I can’t actually help you with the climbing part.
When this piece of your financial plan is complete you will have a road map for achieving both your short and long-term goals by maximizing and wisely using the assets you have available to you.
Once we’ve established your plan, we move on to part two, where I work closely with you to put that plan into action.
Ongoing Financial Coaching and Monitoring
Life has this crazy way of surprising us in good ways, and sometimes bad ways, too. So a financial plan can’t be looked at as a static document. It’s a guide that’s meant to flex and bend with your circumstances. This is why I don’t just hand you a financial plan and call you next year. I continue to work with you on a monthly basis to help you stay on target to achieve your goals. I coach you through adjustments to your plan when the winds change course.
What you can expect when you work with me:
- Ongoing, honest feedback
- Help building great financial habits that will propel you toward your goals
- Availability. Just shoot me an email.
- Great service.
- No conflicts of interest. I don’t get paid for selling any products. My income comes from you, so you are who I want to please.
In order to make the process attainable for as many people as possible, I’ve spread the payments out over time. If you decide to work with me, you pay an upfront fee ranging from $750-3,000. After that upfront fee, you will pay a monthly fee of $75-300 per month, and there won’t be any other annual fees or services fees for you to pay.
If you are ready to start down the path to your richest life, why not go ahead and schedule your FREE consultation now. The sooner you start, the sooner you’ll get there!

If you have special financial circumstances that you need help with, I offer other services as well. Please contact me to discuss hourly services, group workshops or other arrangements that could work for you.
