Sensenig Capital is an independent, fee-only wealth management firm located in the Philadelphia area.

Our advisory team has over 50 years of combined experience counseling individuals in investments and wealth management, and providing unbiased advice to sponsors of 401(k), 403(b), 457, and other company retirement plans — skills for which clients have specifically sought out Sensenig Capital.

Our History

Sensenig Capital opened its doors in 2007 when veteran advisor Carl Sensenig saw an opportunity to deliver more objective, customized advice with a focus on the clients’ best interest. At that time, Carl brought more than 20 years of experience as Vice President and Portfolio Manager to Sensenig Capital — and a commitment to the “fee-only” model, considered the “gold standard” of financial advice.

Today, Sensenig Capital proudly serves many families and small businesses in the Philadelphia and Mid-Atlantic region, and around the country. We provide the intimacy of a small boutique, backed by the resources and security of a large financial services organization.

Our Approach

Fee-only: Sensenig Capital does not receive commissions or sell products, minimizing conflicts of interest. Nor are we tied to a larger investment firm that dictates our advice.

  • Compensation based solely on fees for advice provided and/or ongoing management
  • Required form of compensation for NAPFA-registered advisors
  • Legally held to the highest fiduciary standard

Evidence-based: Decades of unbiased, evidence-based solutions guide our approach to helping our clients achieve financial peace of mind.

Focus on cost: We only use low-cost, broadly diversified investment vehicles. Generally, our solutions include low-cost investments offered by Dimensional Fund Advisors, Vanguard, and others.

Deep fiduciary responsibility: As a fiduciary, we have an obligation to put client interests ahead of our own.

Credentialed professionals: We have a commitment to providing the highest level of advice. Our advisory staff members are required to obtain and/or maintain a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation.

Fee-Only, Fiduciary, Independent: Three Important Criteria to Consider When Choosing a Financial Advisor.
