Meet M. Elizabeth Ivy

After more than a decade in the financial planning industry, Elizabeth Ivy founded Gordon Financial, LLC in 2015 with the goal of providing highly personalized and client-focused financial planning and investment management services to the Charleston community and beyond. She believes the key to achieving this goal is by keeping the overall number of clients small, so that every client receives the highest level of one-on-one attention from their trusted advisor.

Elizabeth graduated from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina in 2003, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing. Before the ink was even dry on her diploma, Elizabeth moved from her hometown of Lexington, SC to the historic and beautiful city of Charleston, SC, where she began her financial career with the Bank of South Carolina. In 2004, Elizabeth joined an established fee-only financial planning firm in Mount Pleasant, SC, first as the Investment Operations Manager, and later as a Financial Planner.

Soon after completing Boston University's CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Certification Education program in 2008, Elizabeth passed the CFP® Board of Standard's Certification Examination, and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional. The CFP® designation is widely recognized as the gold standard of excellence for personal financial planning. In September of 2015, Elizabeth obtained the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation from the College for Financial Planning®.
