Laminar Wealth LLC
Financial Life Planner
Fee-Only Financial Planner serving the St. Louis, MO area and clients across the country
I initially became interested in financial planning because of my husband David, Laminar Wealth’s founder. My background is in biochemistry, so I was surprised to find myself engaged in all aspects of the business as David started the firm in 2013, and for better or worse, topics of financial planning have dominated our dinner conversations ever since.
While living in Chicago, David encouraged me to take courses at Northwestern University where I earned a Certificate of Financial Planning. When we moved to St. Louis to be closer to my family, I joined a prominent local wealth management firm where I discovered my real passion for the profession. Financial planning allows me to use my intelligence, creative problem-solving skills, and big heart to positively impact others’ lives. I was excited to join Laminar Wealth in the spring of 2017, bringing my energy and expertise to connect with the community and help my clients lead richer lives.
I’m happy to be raising my family in my hometown of St. Louis (for those of you wanting to ask, I’m a proud alumnus of Cor Jesu Academy!). When not working, you’ll find me catching up on the latest seasons of Homeland or House of Cards, curled up with our two cats Sassafras and Lily, walking our golden retriever Hana, chasing around our young daughter Ellie, or debating financial planning strategies with David!

Our purpose is to improve your life
Our integrative approach places you, not your money, at the center of the relationship. We start by helping you determine what is uniquely important to you and then leverage our technical expertise and thoughtful guidance to bring congruity between your finances and your values.
We believe in true wealth management
Wealth encompasses not only money, but also physical, emotional, and spiritual elements. Wealth management involves integrating all of your resources—money, time, energy, and skills—to create a life that is not only financially sound, but also inspiring and meaningful to you.
We believe in elegant simplicity
Our name Laminar Wealth is inspired by the physics term meaning streamlined, a critical concept in sailing and flying—our founder’s favorite hobbies. Applying a similar mindset to your finances means reducing or eliminating unnecessary fees, taxes and complexity. The result is not only greater wealth, but also greater peace of mind and time to focus on the things that matter most to you.
We are committed to you
As a fee-only firm, we refuse to accept compensation from third parties for recommendations or referrals. We will always act as a fiduciary and place your interests above all else. We will be fierce in protecting your privacy and compassionate in respecting your dreams. We are committed to earning your complete trust.
We are based in St. Louis and work with clients around the country. Many of our clients come to us during a life transition that results in important money decisions, such as an IPO, an inheritance, a significant increase in income, or an impending retirement. Our expertise in financial and tax planning combined with our life planning approach makes us perfectly equipped to guide you through every step of your journey. Our ideal client is not defined by profession, age, geography, or even financial assets. Instead, we believe the most important element in a wealth management relationship is a shared philosophy around life and money. Below are a few of these core principles.
Live well within your means
It’s common wisdom not to spend more than your resources can support, but we believe there is a deeper meaning to this old adage. It is not only about keeping your cash flow under control, but also creating the life you want, so you can live well and have peace of mind.
Live for today and plan for tomorrow
The objective of financial planning is not merely to accumulate assets and be the richest person in the graveyard. Moreover, we want you to live your life to the fullest and use your resources to deliver freedom into your life every day. This requires a willingness to explore the deeper meaning of money in your life and a continuous calibration of your finances with your values.
Human capital is your best resource
It is important to minimize unnecessary risk when it comes to your financial capital, but the same is not necessarily true of your human capital—your time, energy, and skills. We believe in following your heart and listening to your creative or entrepreneurial spirit within the framework of a sensible plan. In addition to enjoying life more, you may find this also provides the greatest opportunity for financial gain.
