Meet Michael McAninch

The hopes and dreams of many people rely to some extent on money, the financial means to achieve success. In Mike’s experience, lacking money is not the primary obstacle to reaching a goal. Rather, it’s the lack of a plan.

As a practice integration advisor with Buckingham Strategic Wealth, Mike McAninch helps clients develop that plan, which he sees as a roadmap to financial goals and objectives. Mike specializes in the implementation of strategies for business and personal cash flow tax efficient saving, income and estate tax planning, personal and professional debt review, and business transition planning and execution.

His passion is to empower clients with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions. The most gratifying part of Mike’s job is seeing clients make substantial progress toward financial freedom.

Mike came to Buckingham through the 2014 merger with Hufford Advisors. He joined Hufford Advisors as a planning consultant in 2011 after two years at his own financial planning firm. Prior to that, Mike spent two years at Arthur Andersen & Co., followed by 30 years in banking, primarily as controller at First Indiana Bank.

He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation. Mike is a graduate of Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Mike lives in Westfield, Indiana, with his wife, Julia. He enjoys activities with his 10 grandchildren and is an avid Chicago White Sox fan. He also serves on the Board of the Indiana United Methodist Foundation.
