Meet Michael Morton

It’s critical that you work well with and trust your financial advisor. It’s an on-going relationship that will ensure you reach your financial goals. By working together, we define your path to enjoy a successful life. Get to know Mike Morton and make sure I’m the right fit for you.

I founded Morton Financial Advice because I believe that everyone deserves support in their financial lives, no matter your stage in life.  I’m extremely passionate about supporting families to reach their life goals, through the critical financial decisions that are part of our daily lives.  By creating small habits, setting the correct path and giving on-going support, together we craft the future as you desire it.

As with any financial advisor, I bring a unique experience to our working relationship.  I began my career as a computer programmer and soon thereafter founded a start-up technology company.  With my business partners, we built and ran that company for 6 years, eventually selling it to Comcast Corp.  From there I founded a second start-up company where I worked as the Chief Financial Officer and also managed projects with AOL, NBA, MTV and others.  I transitioned from that company when I started a family and wanted to be at home more often.

I live with my wife and three young children in Harvard, MA.  I enjoy all outdoor activities including hiking, camping, running, snowboarding, and obstacle racing.  I have played Ultimate Frisbee for decades and coach the youth team in town.  I also enjoy woodworking, designing and creating furniture in my home shop.
