Michael Salmon is a Tampa, FL fee-only financial planner. Michael Salmon is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional who has been with the firm since 2007. His expertise lies in the areas of retirement and tax planning. Mike assists in tax preparation of individual and corporate tax returns as well as year-end tax projections. He is also an Enrolled Agent, the highest credential the Internal Revenue Service awards. Mike was recently recognized by Financial Advisor magazine as a 2018 “10 Young Advisors to Watch".

Mike’s expertise lies in helping people make a successful transition into retirement by designing financial plans to help answer whether you have saved enough to meet your goals and desired lifestyle in retirement. Detailed cash flow planning with an emphasis on tax optimization is critical to successful liquidation of assets during retirement.

Tax planning is a very important and challenging component of an overall financial plan no matter your stage of life. Mike assists in tax preparation of individual and corporate tax returns as well as year-end tax projections. He is also an Enrolled Agent, the highest credential the Internal Revenue Service awards, giving him unlimited practice rights representing taxpayers before the IRS.

He also has experience helping Qualified Real Estate Agents make the transition to QREA status. There are many tax and retirement planning strategies available to individuals with this status.

Mike is an active member of the Central Florida chapter of Financial Planning Association, where he has participated in the “Financial Planning Hotline” for many years. His planning advice has been featured often in the Orlando Sentinel’s “Ask an Expert” column, Investopedia, and CNBC.com.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Counseling and Planning from Purdue University. He and his wife, Tiffany, have been married for 7 years and have four young children.
