Patrick Sherman is a Daniel Island, SC fee-only financial planner. Sherman Financial & Wealth Management LLC provides tailored financial planning, quick start financial planninginvestment management and personal CFO services to help clients organize, grow and protect their assets through life’s transitions. As a fee-only, fiduciary, and independent financial advisor, Patrick Sherman is never paid a commission of any kind, and has a legal obligation to provide unbiased and trustworthy financial advice.

As the founder of Sherman Financial & Wealth Management in Charleston, South Carolina, Patrick Sherman has been working in the financial services industry since 2009.  Patrick graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor's degree where he majored in economics with a business minor. His love, passion, and appreciation for the business world and the subject of economics drew him to the financial services industry.

Upon graduating from the University of Kentucky, just one month later, Patrick was determined and headed south to start his professional career in Charleston, South Carolina. Throughout his childhood, Patrick’s family made an annual trip to the Lowcountry region, so he developed a deep esteemed connection with the area full of fond memories. At the young age of 23, Patrick started his financial services career with Carolina Capital Management in Charleston. Five years later, he joined Atlantic Coast Advisory Group, in neighboring Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. During his time at both Carolina Capital Management and Atlantic Coast Advisory Group, Patrick fostered strong relationships with his peers and mentors, developed interpersonal and professional skills, and gained immense knowledge that will undoubtedly follow him throughout his life and career.

In a short time, through personal and professional growth, Patrick developed a strong passion for investment management and financial planning with a consultative approach. However, he soon thereafter realized that there was a huge disconnect present between the financial corporations, their professionals, and the families of America.

Frustrated with the industry's outdated service models and determined to make an impact, Patrick decided it was time to start his own Investment Advisory Firm. He knew he was capable of more and, through opening his own firm, would have the ability to better to serve his local community, his peers regionally, and those on a national scale—most importantly, in a true fiduciary capacity! This fiduciary model enables a financial advisor to work in their client’s best interests—no matter what—at all times.

In his spare time, Patrick enjoys spending time surrounded by his family and close friends. He is a father to his precious infant son, Henry, spouse to his beautiful fiancée, Megan, and best pal to his chocolate Labrador Retriever, Charles. He enjoys being outside and embracing the beauty of Charleston. He loves playing golf, relaxing at the beaches of Charleston, cooking with his family, traveling to new places, and embracing life. He has a passion for SEC football, especially his Alma mater that he wildly cherishes, the Kentucky Wildcats. Patrick is a member of the Daniel Island Rotary, and holds his faith close to his heart. Patrick’s family are proud members of the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist in Charleston.
