As a fee-only financial planner, my focus is to offer unbiased financial advice to help you achieve your life goals. - Robert Pool, CFP®, ChFC®, CFS

Fee-Only financial planner located in Vancouver, WA, serving clients locally and across the country

Robert Pool is a Vancouver, WA fee-only financial planner.  Fort Vancouver Investment Management provides comprehensive and objective financial planning to help clients organize, grow and protect their assets through life’s transitions. As a fee-only, fiduciary, and independent financial advisor, Robert Rool is never paid a commission of any kind, and has a legal obligation to provide unbiased and trustworthy financial advice.

If you’re looking to bring clarity to the financial issues that most concern you, Rob Pool offers sound perspective for building long-term wealth. In contrast, many banks and brokerage firms focus on commission-based products, whether or not this is in their clients’ highest interests. Rob’s demeanor may be more sensible than sensational, but make no mistake: Rob’s commitment to helping everyday people manage their money is firmly grounded in a career that spans more than two decades, including advisory, supervisory and educational expertise within the investment management, financial planning and real estate industries.

While assisting a broad range of clients within Fortune 500 companies such as American Express and Charles Schwab, Rob became convinced that solid, objective advice and hands-on relationship-based service were the keys to helping investors define and achieve their unique financial goals. In 2002, to best offer this level of care, Rob joined a team of like-minded colleagues at Arcadia Investment Advisors, an independent Registered Investment Advisor firm where he served as partner, Chief Compliance Officer, and Investment Manager. In 2012, Rob formalized his ownership interest at Arcadia into what is now Fort Vancouver Investment Management, LLC.

Beyond serving clients, Rob also actively seeks to enhance financial literacy in his community. As a volunteer for the Foundation for Personal Financial Education, he has been invited to speak by a number of local businesses such as Cascade Corporation, Micron Technology, and Leatherman Tool Company; as well as other organizations including the Oregon Bar Association and the Veteran’s Administration.

Rob’s dedication to his craft also is evident in his exemplary education and credentials. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from George Fox University and holds a master’s degree in financial services from the Institute of Business and Finance. Rob is also a Certified Financial Planner® and a NAPFA Registered Financial Advisor.

On a personal note, Rob is husband to Valerie, and father to their children Kayla, Grace and Joshua. The Pools live in the foothills of the Cascade Range in Hockinson, Washington. Rob volunteers with County Wide Chaplaincy, a non-profit organization established to provide a chaplain at the scene of any traumatic injury or death within Clark County when requested by the emergency responders.
