Scott Jacobs has more than 25 years of experience in financial services. Prior to joining EP Wealth Advisors in 2021, Scott worked for a number of the largest Wall Street firms, including UBS, Prudential and Wells Fargo. He’s been serving LGBTQ families, technology employees and small business owner clients since his days at PaineWebber in 1994. Scott loves educating the public in a way that’s down to earth and jargon-free. His favorite maxims include “It’s time in the market, not TIMING the market,” as well as Warren Buffet’s advice, “Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful.” Helping parents send their kids to college, care for an aging parent and retire with financial independence are literally what gets him up every day. Born and raised in New York, Scott is the product of two school teacher parents and has a sister who still teaches in Harlem, NY. A past President of the Embarcadero BNI (Business Network International) chapter, the largest in the Bay Area, he’s also a member of a ProVisors chapter, OAK3. On the Board of Directors for PAWS/Shanti for over seven years, he served the LGBTQ and most vulnerable members of our community. An avid athlete, Scott plays flag football for the San Francisco Gay Flag Football League as well as for the San Francisco Gay Softball League. He can also be found on his yoga mat 4–5 days a week. In spite of his New York roots, he is a HUGE Giants, Warriors and 49ers fan! Also, Scott and his wife Maggie are the proud parents of three cats: Kaplan, Cooper and Reddington.
