Fee Only Financial Planner Located in Portsmouth, NH and Serving Clients Nationwide

William Simpson is a Portsmouth, NH fee-only financial planner. Resolute Financial, LLC provides comprehensive financial planning, retirement planning, and investment management to help clients organize, grow and protect their assets through life’s transitions. As a fee-only, fiduciary, and independent financial advisor, William is never paid a commission of any kind, and has a legal obligation to provide unbiased and trustworthy financial advice.
Bill Simpson was the founder and President of Azimuth Financial Planning, which merged with Resolute Financial in 2016. Prior to founding Azimuth Financial Planning, Bill was employed at The Harbor Group, a wealth management firm in Bedford, New Hampshire, providing financial planning and investment management services to affluent individuals and families. He has appeared on WGIR AM 610 numerous times to discuss financial planning and investment related issues, and has been quoted in the Portsmouth Herald, the Boston Globe, the Baltimore Sun, and the Dow Jones Newswire. In addition, Bill is a contributing author to the 2014 edition of Collaborative Law: Practice and Procedures published by the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education-New England Publications.
He is active in the Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club of Portsmouth, and in volunteer efforts to provide free independent financial advice to consumers as part of the Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine’s “Jump-Start Your Retirement Planning Days”, and the “Your Money Bus” nationwide tour put on by the NAPFA Consumer Education Foundation.
In addition, Bill has been trained in Collaborative Law and is a member of the Collaborative Law Alliance of New Hampshire. Collaborative Law, most commonly used in the resolution of divorces and other disputes, is a growing practice nationwide and in New Hampshire due to the state’s current climate of shrinking budgets and court closures. Collaborative Law is a method of resolving disputes privately with the help of trained professionals, outside of the court system. Collaborative Law trained professionals work together as a team in order to reach a sustainable resolution. For more information, visit Collaborative Law Alliance of New Hampshire at www.collaborativelawnh.org.
In his spare time Bill enjoys paddle boarding and kayaking along the coast of New Hampshire and in the winter hitting the slopes of New England on his snowboard.

Experienced and objective financial planning and investment advice
Our fee-only approach is different from fee-based approaches where advisors charge a fee AND sell products for a commission. Unlike most other financial planning firms, we’re compensated solely by our clients. The result? You get financial strategies that serve your best interests. There’s no outside financial incentive compelling us to do otherwise.
Consistent Client Service Leads to Satisfied Clients
A good measure of client satisfaction is client retention, and is something we focus our efforts on, and are very proud of.
Driven by client retention and new referrals, we’ve become the largest NAPFA-registered fee-only financial planning firm between Boston and southeastern New Hampshire. Indeed, for every year beginning in 2010, Financial Advisor Magazine has included Resolute Financial in its national ranking of leading financial firms.
Existing clients are the source of approximately half of our new referrals. Many other professionals (such as attorneys and accountants) also refer clients to us. Our clients and peers recognize our expertise and the importance of fee-only fiduciary relationships.
Have confidence during market ups and downs, while working with our experienced financial advisors
During the recent financial crisis, many people abandoned their investment plans and lived in confusion and fear. There is a better way. We work with each client to identify goals and keep them in focus in all market situations. Successful investing is a long-term process, and our professional fee-only financial planners can help you manage emotional reactions to volatile markets.
What’s more, we explain our strategies and investments so you can see how all elements of your plan work together. Feel secure in your financial present and future. Let us focus on your finances so you can focus on the rest of your life.
