William Simpson is a Portsmouth, NH fee-only financial advisor serving clients locally and across the country. Bill Simpson had more than 18 years in practice as a financial advisor when he joined EP Wealth Advisors in 2023. Bill was the founder and President of Azimuth Financial Planning, which merged with Resolute Financial in 2016. Prior to founding Azimuth Financial Planning, Bill was employed at The Harbor Group, a wealth management firm in Bedford, New Hampshire, providing financial planning and investment management services to affluent individuals and families. He has appeared on WGIR AM 610 numerous times to discuss financial planning and investment-related issues, and has been quoted in the Portsmouth Herald, the Boston Globe, the Baltimore Sun, and the Dow Jones Newswire. In addition, Bill is a contributing author to the 2014 edition of Collaborative Law: Practice and Procedures, published by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education-New England Publications.

He is active in the Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club of Portsmouth, and in volunteer efforts to provide free independent financial advice to consumers as part of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine’s “Jump-Start Your Retirement Planning Days,” and the “Your Money Bus” nationwide tour put on by the NAPFA Consumer Education Foundation. .

In addition, Bill has been trained in Collaborative Law and is a member of the Collaborative Law Alliance of New Hampshire. Collaborative Law, most commonly used in the resolution of divorces and other disputes, is a growing practice nationwide and in New Hampshire due to the state’s current climate of shrinking budgets and court closures. Collaborative Law is a method of resolving disputes privately with the help of trained professionals, outside of the court system. Collaborative Law trained professionals work together as a team in order to reach a sustainable resolution. In his spare time Bill enjoys paddleboarding and kayaking along the coast of New Hampshire and in the winter hitting the slopes of New England on his snowboard.
