Meet William Starnes

William "Bill" Starnes is the founder and financial advisor at Mallard Advisors in Hockessin, Delaware. Part of Bill's professional mission is "to engage clients in an enjoyable process of financial education and planning that provides value and quantifiable results." Bill helps clients understand the advice he offers, strives to save them money, and assists with the big decisions during life's inevitable transitions. Bill places significant emphasis on retirement planning since this is one of life's biggest transitions.

Bill lives in Unionville, Pennsylvania, with his family. Outside of the office, Bill is dedicated to spending quality time with his family and enjoys the exhilaration of mountain biking, the challenge of golfing, and reading.

Holding a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University, Bill has also earned the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. Bill earned his Masters Degree in Taxation (MST) from Widener University, and has earned the professional designation of CHARTERED FINANCIAL CONSULTANT (ChFC) from The American College.

Bill is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Planners (NAPFA), the National Association of Tax Practitioners (NATP), the AICPA, and the Alliance of Comprehensive Planners (ACP), a nationwide alliance of advisors committed to comprehensive financial planning on a fee-only basis.
